Extract the download, open the app and allow it to extract its own files, finally, run the new executable. DDU will ask if it can do the recommended option of restarting in safe mode, doing so will restart the system and load DDU again, if not please navigate back to the app and open it. It's possible that it could be an issue with the registry, try this after clean installing the drivers.
- Start regedit.exe
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlGraphicsDrivers
- Right-click the right-side pane. If running 64-bit Windows, select New > QWORD, or select New > DWORD if running 32-bit Windows.
- The new key name should be 'TdrDelay' (no quote marks) and the value should be 8.
Try a GPU benchmark to test for any anomalies.
If the issue continues, depending on your type of system you may need to reseat the graphics card (resolve's black screen/no display issues as well).
